S-Docs 2019 Year in Review

By Blog No Comments

Although it feels like 2019 began only yesterday, we’ve already rounded out another successful year helping companies save time and money by digitizing, automating, and e-signing their documents in Salesforce. The last twelve months were jam-packed with exciting product innovations and record-breaking growth for S-Docs. Let’s take a look back at some of the leading highlights from 2019 and get a sneak peek into where we’re going next as we hit the ground running in the new year and the new decade.

A Record-Breaking Year

The year started off with a bang as team members from around the globe gathered at the S-Docs Innovation Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the first quarterly town hall of 2019. Department executives laid out the values-driven plan for the year and detailed how our emphasis on trust, transparency, and security would exceed the expectations of our existing customers and help us bring our native Salesforce solution to new ones around the world.

Quarter one closed out a record-breaking 108% over our goal, setting the tone for the year and creating high expectations for the next three quarters--and they didn’t disappoint, meaning that 2019 was our most successful year to date.

Our accomplishments in 2019 were made possible by constant product innovation and a customer-first mindset - but they were also a direct result of our unwavering commitment to our values of trust, transparency, and security. Our customers trust our solution to be lightning-fast, easy to use, and secure. As a 100% native Salesforce solution, S-Docs is able to deliver on these expectations every time.

Welcoming New Customers

Our successful year would not have been possible without our incredible customers. In 2019, we were able to introduce hundreds of new clients from around the globe to the speed, flexibility, and reliability of S-Docs. Some of our new customers this year include the American Red Cross, Intel, Sciex, and French energy company Dalkia. We’ve also had the opportunity to work with several large healthcare and government organizations in a multitude of different countries.

In addition to the new arrivals, 2019 saw large expansions of several existing customers who saw the potential for document automation to make a big difference across multiple departments in their organizations. As a testament to their trust in the security and reliability of S-Docs, expansions were made at the Department of Veteran Affairs, United Healthcare, Philips, Dexcom, and Estee Lauder. 2019 also saw more and more companies adopting our 100% native e-signature solution, S-Sign.

Product Updates

Whether it was perfecting existing functionality or adding support for exciting new features, our product team was hard at work all year making S-Docs and S-Sign faster, more intuitive, and more powerful. Some notable updates include:

  • S-Docs Runtime Prompts, which ask users questions and merge that data into the document at runtime, feature new decision tree logic. This is perfect for when you want to insert data based off a specific response (say, users who say they’re located in CA and NY receive different clause options to insert into their contracts).
  • Though S-Docs is already quicker than our competitors due to being built on the force.com platform, we’ve gone a step further by optimizing to allow for up to 10x faster generation of particularly complex documents.
  • Both S-Docs and S-Sign now support multi-language functionality so users can experience building templates, generating documents, and e-signing in their native languages.

We never stop innovating, so keep a lookout in 2020 for new exciting features coming soon, like the ability to upload an existing PDF and drag & drop merge fields into it. You can view the most recent product updates by reading the release notes.

Growing & Getting Involved in the Community

The S-Docs team grew tremendously in 2019 as every department across the globe added new talent that embodies trust, transparency, and security. This means that the customer experience will only keep improving throughout 2020.

We also got involved in our local communities throughout the year. Starting in May, S-Docs welcomed a fleet of interns from the local University of Michigan, allowing them to gain valuable real-world experience in marketing, sales, and product development.

We organized several volunteering events in the Ann Arbor area as part of our commitment to Pledge 1%, most notably at the Delonis Center, whose mission is to end homelessness in Washtenaw County.

Finally, we were out and about in the Salesforce community throughout the year. If you’re a Salesforce enthusiast, you probably saw S-Docs at one of Salesforce’s many events in 2019. Whether it was the World Tour in London, NorCal Dreamin’, Midwest Dreamin’, Dreamforce, or a host of other user groups and basecamp events, we were connecting with new and existing customers and spreading the word about the power of document automation, e-signature, and our five-star service.

What Tech Is Trending In Government?

By Blog No Comments
the U.S. Capitol at night

3 Solutions Modernizing the Public Sector

Have you ever wondered what’s trending in government tech? The truth is the government oversees initiatives that have a significant impact on our daily lives, so it’s important to know how they’re moving us all forward. Of course, this question becomes very important if you work in government.

More often than not, the government has a reputation for being on the tail end of technology trends. And in a world where more and more of us choose digital solutions over the alternative, government entities are starting to pay attention to these trends so they can keep up with the tech-friendly constituents they represent.

Just like most businesses have to overcome challenges when modernizing their technology, government entities do too. However, the challenges they face are very unique. If you work for a government entity, you know there are more hoops to jump through and protocols in place than private companies. Upgrading technology can be a big overhaul and budgets are usually more limited and harder to stretch.

Even with these challenges, if you are a government entity, it’s imperative you modernize because of your responsibility to the public. Citizens rely on you to provide, protect, lead and create a path toward the future. Without forward-thinking technology solutions in place, government entities default on your most important role: serving your constituency.

We recommend starting with three key solutions that have high-ROI.

You Might Also Like: Safeguarding Your Salesforce Data: Best Practices For Government Entities

Solution #1: More collaboration, more progress

Often when dealing with multiple government agencies, there can be a breakdown in communication and process that can create a siloed feeling among organizations. You want to work together to get things done, but working in different platforms and systems make collaboration difficult

It just so happens project management apps and software that work across organizations and agencies are making a name for themselves in the industry. Smartsheet Gov, for example, offers secure sharing and fast user adoption and gives government entities a way to work together through one platform. With collaborative software like Smartsheet Gov, silos are being eliminated as agencies operate together and create workflows that are streamlined. All of this helps more projects get completed in less time.

Solution #2: Taking documents and signatures digital

When you hear the word digitization, you probably associate it with negative risks like data breaches and losing control of sensitive information. For government entities, you know there are strict regulations dictating how you must keep files longer than most people realize. If you neglect to digitize and store documents correctly, you open yourself up to the risk of lost data.

Thankfully innovative software solutions exist that eliminate the risk of storing paper documents and instead secure documents in the cloud. With modern technology trends like e-signature and document generation apps, government orgs can rely on this software, knowing full well that their information is being kept secure.

If you’re using Salesforce, our document generation solution S-Docs is native, meaning it works within the Salesforce environment and data does not leave the cloud, an added security benefit. It’s trusted by many public sector organizations such as The VA, Oregon Health, New South Whales Government and many more.

Solution #3: Putting customers first, always

Constituents are essentially customers, and deserve a first-class customer experience when they work with government agencies. Likewise, new business leads and contracts should be treated the same, with top-notch service and onboarding procedures that are seamless. Sometimes, the back and forth of emails, paperwork, signatures and tasks can feel inefficient. And that’s the furthest thing from modern.

Instead, implementing a task management software creates a more professional onboarding experience for customers. Popular task management software TaskRay, for example, allows agencies to track the progress of contracts and projects and keep onboarding on schedule. TaskRay improves handoffs, adjusts schedules and helps government agencies maximize their efficiency and deliver on time.

So if you are a government agency, how are you using innovative technology trends to modernize your office? Rather than falling behind the curve and letting outdated legacy systems and inefficient workflows hold you back, take advantage of the software solutions mentioned above (as well as others not mentioned here) to stay ahead of the game. The public sector is in a unique position to build a path toward the future, more so than many other industries. To get there, all they need to do is look to the innovative solutions that are paving the way.

Our Dreamforce 2019 Highlights

By Blog No Comments

Now that Dreamforce 2019 is over, there’s only one thing we’re aiming for over the next 343 days: find comfortable shoes for Dreamforce 2020. Seriously, we pushed our shoes to the breaking point during our four days in San Francisco; the Dreamforce Campus was huge!

All joking aside, Salesforce’s biggest conference of the year proved unforgettable once again; the inspiring keynotes, informative breakout sessions, insanely exciting parties, and interactions with fellow Trailblazers in the Salesforce community made this year’s Dreamforce better than all the rest. And we’re not just saying that - here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments from Dreamforce 2019 that prove it gets better and better every year.

Fireside Chat with Tim Cook

After getting settled in San Francisco and making sure every Max the Moose was accounted for, the team headed over to the Moscone Center to begin the Dreamforce festivities. After the inspiring opening keynote, we attended the week’s first fireside chat between Apple CEO Tim Cook and Salesforce Co-CEO Marc Benioff. This talk was one of our favorite Dreamforce events by far, not only because of the great ideas discussed, but because we think they align so well with our own values here at S-Docs.

Tim Cook began his discussion with Benioff by talking about his philosophy on privacy.

“You don’t bolt-on privacy,” said Cook. “You have to design it in.”

Alongside keeping privacy at the forefront of product innovation, Cook talked about the way Apple has maintained success for over 40 years by focusing on their values first, including equality, sustainability, and having a mindset focused on helping others.

These ideas really resonated with the S-Docs team. As a native Salesforce solution built on the Force.com platform, S-Docs has kept our clients’ privacy and data security in mind since day one. Data used to generate documents with S-Docs never leaves the Salesforce cloud, meaning it’s one of the most secure document generation solutions available on the AppExchange.

Cook’s values-based approach is something we adhere to at S-Docs as well. We’re a proud member of the Pledge 1% Movement, and our team regularly volunteers its time to help our local communities. We also participate in sustainability movements like the Commuter Challenge in Ann Arbor, which challenges participants to use greener methods of transportation. And of course, we’re always committed to providing the best solutions to our customers.

Overall, this discussion is well worth watching if you missed it.

The Benefits of a Native Document Generator

It goes without saying that the S-Docs theater session, which detailed how to save time and money with native document generation and e-signature solutions, was another one of our favorite moments of Dreamforce this year. Our software engineers presented on the many benefits of using a native application like S-Docs, including boosted employee productivity, speedier implementation timelines, and reduced expenses.

The session had great attendance and included some laughs alongside the insights that made it a big highlight for everyone involved.

Customer 360

If you were at Dreamforce this year (or even if you weren’t), you probably know about one of the biggest overarching themes: as consumer preferences rapidly change, it’s becoming more and more necessary for brands to obtain a detailed, 360° view of their customers in order to meet their expectations, and there’s no better way to do this than with Salesforce’s cross-cloud Customer 360 Truth platform.

The Customer 360 Truth platform, announced during the opening keynote, allows companies to sync their customer data across all clouds and obtain a single profile for each customer to deliver great cross-channel experiences.

This was an exciting announcement for us because it involves the customer-first mindset that we pride ourselves on. While Customer 360 Truth breaks down data silos and creates an integrated view of the customer, applications like S-Docs work in the background to accomplish the tedious work and eliminate errors, allowing you to spend more time focusing on the customer experience.

Dreamfest

Supporting UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital? Partying with fellow Salesforce enthusiasts?  Fleetwood Mac?! What’s not to love about Dreamfest?

The S-Docs team had a blast at this year’s Dreamforce concert/philanthropy event, and it was made even better by the fact that all the money raised by the event goes to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. As a Pledge1 member, this mix of fun and philanthropy was an inspiring high point of Dreamforce for S-Docs, and a perfect way to unwind after a day of great conversations and informative sessions.

Connecting With Fellow Trailblazers

While Dreamforce was filled to the brim with different breakout sessions, cool swag, fun parties, and delicious food, we think the most invaluable part was the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world who are just as passionate about the values that Dreamforce embodies as we are.

S-Docs had booths in the Campground expo and Trailhead zone, meaning that throughout the entire event, we were constantly syncing up with current customers, meeting new people, and teaching other Salesforce users about the benefits of using a native document generator and e-signature solution. We loved hearing some of the great things our customers are doing with our solutions, as well as the creative ways that other Trailblazers are using Salesforce to better their business and make a difference in their own way.

As this year’s Dreamforce came to a close, everyone walked away inspired by new ideas and ready to innovate our way into a successful 2020.

Connect With Us!

Dreamforce is always a great reminder of the breadth and diversity of the Salesforce community, and we’re always looking forward to the next time everyone gets together.

We’ll be at the Salesforce World Tour in New York this December. Heading that way too? Reach out and let us know - we’d love to chat!

If you were at Dreamforce and didn’t get a chance to stop by the booth, you can always leave us a message or contact us at sales@sdocs.com.

3 Tricks to Impressing Your Team and Consistently Over-Delivering

By Blog No Comments
people achieving goal together

It’s a good feeling when you can go above and beyond what’s asked of you. Especially when it’s a request from upper leadership. So what keeps us from over-delivering every time we’re tasked with a project?

Maybe the below scenario sounds familiar:

Your team asks you for a specific report, you know the data required lives in Salesforce and you have a very manual way of extracting and arranging it in a neat, presentable format. The problem? It’s quite the process:

  1. First, you have to pull reports in Salesforce, export and manipulate the data and then copy/paste that information into your doc
  2. Next, you format the document and deal with all those fun formatting intricacies
  3. Finally, once it’s ready, you send it out via a manual email to your team

If you’re a Salesforce admin, the trick to getting more done and over delivering is through automation. If you have an automation app in place, pre-made templates can shorten lengthy manual processes and it has the potential to streamline customer communication. Both will help you deliver faster, anticipate needs and stay two steps ahead.

You Might Also Like: Salesforce Hack: How To Increase Productivity Through Automation

Trick #1: Use templates to solve most of your problems

Now, we’re not saying that document automation is the solution to every problem, at least not yet, but there are quite a few ways it can help. What’s more, software like S-Docs, for example, is constantly adding more templates and tools that are malleable and can be made to fit any organization’s needs.

Instead of brainstorming the layout you are going to use for a few hours, go straight to the S-Docs template library, and see what solutions may have already been developed. There’s multiple templates to choose from. After all, why recreate the wheel, right?

Trick #2: Streamline your communication

You probably haven’t considered how your teams’ communication methods connect with over-delivering to your exec team, but there’s an unbelievable amount of value in efficient, streamlined communication. With a document generation solution, like S-Docs, in place you can work towards automating emails and status updates. Building this type of automated communication proactively is a great way to ensure you are going above and beyond what’s asked of you. And it takes the hassle out of multiple step processes, which enables you to  deliver relevant information in a more timely manner.

Trick #3: Stay two steps ahead

When you implement a document automation tool, you not only get more time back to focus on bigger projects at hand, but you’ll have time to anticipate your execs’ follow up questions and needs in the future. What’s more impressive than giving your team what they ask for, when they ask for it, AND providing even more information than what was originally requested?

With S-Docs, you’ll be prepared for those tedious requests and well equipped to stay two steps ahead, over-delivering what’s requested with something even better.

Tips From S-Docs To Make Dreamforce ’19 A Success

By Blog No Comments

Dreamforce 2019 kicks off on November 19th--that’s less than a month away! As we get hyped for the biggest Trailblazing event of the year, we’d like to share some of our tried-and-true tips on how to get the most out of your Dreamforce experience next month.

1. Build a Schedule

With a full-conference pass, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from 2,700+ breakout sessions (including the benefits of using a native document generator), discounted certification exams, demos, networking opportunities, parties, and sight-seeing excursions around San Francisco. It can seem like a lot to handle all at once! That’s why it’s important to prioritize topics you think will boost you & your business in the next year, then build a schedule that incorporates those topics. Make it easier by bookmarking sessions you want to attend, then use the Agenda Builder to plan everything when it comes out. You can also download the Salesforce Events app to help you organize on the go. This way, you’ll get the most bang for your buck and won’t be stuck making those decisions on the fly when you get to Moscone Center.

2. Attend the Expo

As you’re building your schedule, be sure to make time for the Expo. There are hundreds of sponsors coming to Dreamforce, so you never know what solutions you might find that you never knew you needed. Plus, you’ll probably collect a lot of free stuff…

3. Connect with the Community

Even if it’s a bit outside of your comfort zone, we highly suggest saying hello to the people around you and making new friends. Dreamforce is one of the biggest networking events of the year, so take advantage of this and meet your fellow Salesforce users. The person sitting next to you could completely revolutionize what you’re doing - but you’ll never know until you say hi!

4. Go to the Admin Keynote

If you’re a Salesforce admin, the Admin Keynote is a must-attend event. This keynote will provide you with tips and best practices on how to use Salesforce to its full potential. Even if you’re a seasoned Salesforce veteran, you’ll still get value out of this keynote because there’s always new things to learn. And of course, be sure to make time for the opening keynote, hosted by Salesforce Co-CEOs Marc Benioff and Keith Block, on Tuesday, November 19 at 9:30 AM.

5. Get Certified

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, Dreamforce is the perfect time to do so, since Salesforce certifications are 50% off. From Administrator to Platform App Builder, this is the best value you’ll find for these exams. Just make sure to study hard before you arrive!

6. Get Ready to Party & See the Sights

There’s a lot to learn at Dreamforce, but after a long day of breakout sessions and networking, it can be nice to kick back, relax, and party with other Salesforce enthusiasts! Starting on Monday the 18th, Dreamforce parties are known to be one of the best parts of the conference. Check out a list of the best parties you won’t want to miss here. In addition, take advantage of Salesforce’s HQ city by visiting the numerous attractions near the conference; check out the San Francisco travel website to plan your sight-seeing excursions.

7. Visit Us at Booth #1409

While you’re living it up & getting all you can out of Dreamforce, make sure to stop by the S-Docs booth to say hello! Our team members will be ready to share ways document automation can boost your team’s efficiency and data security, as well as why it’s the smart choice for a multitude of industries. We’ll also be hosting a breakout session about the benefits of being native to Salesforce, and why S-Docs and S-Sign can help save you money, increase employee productivity, and speed up your digital transformation. Oh, and we’ll also have really cool swag to give out - We hope to see you there!

S-Docs is proud to be part of the Pledge 1% movement

By Blog No Comments
Pledge 1% movement

If you’re familiar with S-Docs, then you know we are in the business of improving. Improving workflows, improving time management, improving communication and more. But what you may not know is that we’re also dedicated to improving our communities and making an impact. It’s because of these commitments that we joined the Pledge 1% movement.

Where document automation meets giving back

You may be asking yourself what a document automation software company like S-Docs has to do with giving back. Therein lies the Pledge 1% story. Founded by Salesforce.org to help leverage technology to give back to local communities, Pledge 1% is now a global movement that advocates for companies to make giving back a part of their corporate culture. The model is simple, companies pledge the equivalent of 1% of their revenue through a combination of equity, employee time, product or profit to their community. According to a recent Forbes article written about the movement, over 8,500 companies in 100 countries are currently participating in Pledge 1%.

Putting S-Docs to work for good

We knew that our team had a desire and capacity to give back and they were looking for a way to make philanthropy a part of our corporate culture. We’ve focused our efforts on giving back to our local communities in a number of ways. Most recently, our Ann Arbor team volunteered their time to serve the homeless at the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (SAWC), whose mission is to end homelessness in Washtenaw County.

“One of the many wonderful things I learned from my years at Salesforce was how business can make a positive impact in every community. I’m very proud that we’ve continued that tradition at S-Docs,” said Dan Pejanovic, CEO of S-Docs.

We’re excited to make an impact, whatever way we can. S-Docs team members have also spent time volunteering in local community kitchens, washing dishes from dinner service, where 100+ received meals, and preparing food for the next day. It’s rewarding for our employees and we’re looking forward to continuing to give our time to nonprofits that need it.

The movement towards community and social change

Times are changing, there's no doubt about it. And more and more, customers are gravitating towards brands with a high degree of corporate responsibility. In fact, a Nielson study revealed 55% of global online consumers say they are willing to pay more for products and services provided by companies that are committed to positive social and environmental impact. With this in mind, we know that our commitment toward serving our communities not only benefits our employees and corporate culture but also benefits our customers. We’re proud to be a part of Pledge 1% and, if you’re a S-Docs customer, we hope you’re proud too. We wouldn’t be able to participate in a program like this without you.

What Salesforce Document Automation Can Teach You About Embracing Change

By Blog No Comments
team collaborating together at work

When was the last time you learned a new skill, tried out a new hobby, attempted to use a new technology or all of the above? Undoubtedly, it was challenging. Learning new ways of doing things, especially when we’re used to doing things our own way, can be hard. But we all know that change, no matter how hard to swallow, is inevitable and often brings new opportunity and efficiency.

We hear you, no one likes change

Maybe you’ve been in this situation before. Your company implements new software and expects everyone to get on board. However, you already have a process that is familiar and functions well.

Thoughts like these are racing through your head.

“Why is this necessary?”
“It takes too long to learn a new workflow, so is it really that productive?”
“The process I have in place already works for me, so  why do I need to change it?”

Although these questions are valid, they keep us from seeing the bigger picture. Embracing change in the workplace and adopting new technology can have long-lasting benefits.

How change can improve your workflow

When popular CRM Salesforce came on the scene in 1999, it was innovative. However, there was still plenty of pushback and reasons not to move to the cloud. The same is true for any software. For example, let’s consider document automation software. If you’ve been manually creating your sales invoices the same way for as long as you can remember, you may not realize how much an innovative document automation app will improve your workflow.

You may feel that the following workflow is simple, especially if you’ve been following it for a long time:

  1. First, you create a report in Salesforce to pull the data you need
  2. Then, you export to Excel/Word
  3. Next, you manually manipulate your data
  4. Finally, you create your own template to plug the data into where it needs to go

The problem with manual processes, though, is that they are tedious and often leave room for errors. But just because you’ve grown accustomed to this process does not make it easily replicated, efficient or flexible.

Embracing change in your workplace means being open to improving your workflow. Document automation software eliminates the manual steps you take in Salesforce and streamlines your workflow. In fact, our native document automation solution S-Docs is malleable, offering a template library of standard documents that you can download, try out, modify and use. By adopting a document automation software, you’ll improve your workflow in several ways, such as:

  1. You’ll get your time back, letting you focus on aspects of your work you couldn’t before
  2. Work proactively to get ahead rather than doing tedious reactive tasks that only achieve the minimum
  3. Branding remains consistent across documents, saving you from sending outdated or off brand documents to clients
  4.  Cross-functional team collaboration improves and increases turn-around times
  5. Fewer errors/typos
  6. Affect all areas of business from finance to sales to employee onboarding by making all your workflows more streamlined and easy to use

With change comes new opportunities

Although implementing document automation into your workflow can have a learning curve, it solves more problems than it causes. Who knows, your innovation could inspire similar departments to get rid of their tedious, manual processes in Salesforce and embrace change as well. And before you know it, the whole business is running more efficiently.

Embracing change in the workplace with document automation brings new experiences and opportunities. It can even win you some bonus points and impress your boss. So what do you say, is it time to be the change in your workplace?

Office closing business deals

Close Deals Faster With A Document Generation App – 5 Helpful Tips

By Blog No Comments
Office closing business deals

Remember that iconic line from 1992 film Glengarry Glen Ross?

“ABC: Always be closing.”

Well, if you’re in a sales role, you know the pressure of closing deals and that there can be setbacks at just about every stage in the process. Fortunately, technology has advanced from the old-school “smile and dial” process with the creation of sales automation tools — enabling sales professionals’ to accomplish tasks more efficiently.

Put simply — the right tools will help you with the ABCs (always be closing) of sales.

But even with the plethora of sales tools available, some deals can still get stuck in the pipeline. There is, however, one sales technology out there that Salesforce pros use to drive deals to a faster close —- a document generation app.

First step: Get a document generation app if you don’t already have one added to Salesforce.

Next step, put it to use with these five tips for using a document generator to close deals faster:

Ensure Proposals Are Delivered to the Right Hands Without Delay

Have you ever accidentally delayed sending a proposal because a hundred different things popped up right after you got off the phone with a client? Use a document generation app to set up a process that sends out proposals based off a status change in Salesforce – this will ensure your proposals reach the right hands quickly without having to go back and manually attach files in an email.

Auto-create Sales Quotes Instantly

You know that feeling of excitement when you get off the phone with a prospect who’s ready to buy, only to have it fizzle out quickly because the next thing you have to do is manually customize a proposal for them? From inputting the name, product descriptions and not to mention double checking the price quote, it can take a while. Use a document generation solution to auto-populate the data you need with the click of a button.

Maintain Brand Consistency Across Sales Documents

Don’t make the mistake of sending over a proposal with an outdated logo or inconsistent branding —- it looks unprofessional. Maintain your brand across all sales documents using a document generation app to make sure you’re putting your best foot forward when closing a deal.

Automate Status Updates in Salesforce

From time to time, deals remain stuck in the wrong status because someone simply forgot to move them to the next deal stage. Use your document generation app to automatically update the opportunity stage  when a specific document is sent out. For example, when you generate a final contract for signature the app can automatically update the opportunity stage to “Pending Signature.”

Impress Clients With Quicker Turnarounds

It’s a competitive world out there and when it comes to winning business, how fast you move deals along can make all the difference. Use your document generation app to unlock maximum efficiency , and cut  down the time between initial contact and a closed business.

By following the above tips, deals are sure to close faster. Don’t have a document generation app in your wheelhouse yet? Try out S-Docs, the only 100% native document generation app that can do all of this and so much more. Let us know if you’re interested in a customized demo to see it in action.

Happy selling!

5 Reasons You Need to Digitize Your Business

By Blog No Comments

When is the last time you heard the word digitize? Truth be told, other than ‘digitization’ being an extremely high scoring play in Scrabble, the term often gets lost in a sea of buzzwords associated with tech trends like modernization and simplification. Buzzwords start to lose their meaning and significance to a business owner when used too frequently and interchangeably, but sooner or later the digitization process will play a unique and irreplaceable role in every business.

So what is digitization?

It seems like a process that’s just as new as the internet, but it’s actually been a part of innovation for much longer. Put simply, it’s the process of converting something into digital form. In a business context, this could be anything that transforms paper processes into digital form to improve efficiency.

If you feel at home in the paper-era, we know you have reasons for not wanting to jump headfirst into the world of digitization. However the reasons for implementing a digitization process are pretty compelling, so hear us out at least.

Your Most Valuable Asset is Your Time

You’ve probably heard the expression before. When considering your business, time is often the most overlooked factor, when in reality it is our greatest asset. Digitization allows employees to spend less time on simple, repetitive tasks and focus on more complex, crucial tasks that result in a more efficiently run business. Transforming your business through the digitization process creates more access for your team to get things done rather than the roadblocks of outdated processes and paper trails, meaning they save time and you save time.

The Price is Right

I know what you’re probably thinking – Doesn’t digitizing my business mean that I’ll need to implement new software and processes that have a higher price tag than what I’m paying for today? While new technology inevitably comes at a steeper price than what you already have, deciding to digitize your business will reduce costs in the long run. Operating with the future in mind, digitization saves on storage space and cuts excess costs.

Now More Than Ever, Security Matters

In our day and age, keeping data secure is no longer a ‘nice to have’ benefit from a business, it’s expected. Data security matters and if it’s not upheld it can destroy a company’s trust among customers. When you digitize your business, you create additional barriers for keeping customer data safe and instill greater amounts of trust among your customers.

Get A Leg Up on Your Competition

There’s no easier way to differentiate yourself from your competitors and create more separation between their business and yours than by digitizing your processes. You’ll have a quicker turnaround, more efficient communication in place which will result in improved customer experience. Plus, a digitization process enables your organization to continue to innovate faster, making it easier for your team to adapt to an ever-changing market.

Leave a Greater, More Positive Impact

Speaking of ways to continue to improve your business and set yourself apart, let’s talk about environmental impact. Maybe it isn’t top of mind when considering reasons you need to digitize, but the positive impact business can make on our environment by simply reducing their paper production and automating manual processes is significant. Digitization allows you to leave a greater impact on the world by simply reducing your output of paper.

Here’s the thing about digitization, it isn’t just a buzzword or trend that will be one day here and next day gone. Imagine how many people thought the Internet itself was just a trend? Now it’s second nature for businesses. More and more companies are looking to improve their processes and digitize their business. So, where should you start? Check out our recent whitepaper on the three documents your company should start to automate today.
